Celebration of  Life  Service

A Note of Thanks

Charlene (mom) and I wish to express our heartfelt appreciation to all of those who have shared in the life and celebration of Simos Ioannou. Thank you for your love, kindness and support.

Simos (my pop’s) was certainly a special, one of a kind guy. He lived life in his own unique way as we all had the privilege to be a part of his story. He was quite the interesting man and a character. A combination of intelligence, hot-blooded Greek passion, a heart the size of Texas that exuded kindness coupled with a delightful sense of humor.

Simos always believed in being of service and helping others; family, friends, neighbors and strangers alike. He touched our hearts, made us smile and made us laugh; leaving all who knew him with many wonderful memories to cherish. He will be long remembered as a loyal and caring man, a dear husband, father, uncle, great uncle, friend and neighbor.

What a beautiful legacy ...

Thank you papa for sharing the gifts of love, laughter and joy in my life and the lives of others. For teaching me the values that character and integrity hold. To speak up, stand up and fight against injustice. To be a voice for others and lend a helping hand to those in need.

I was and always will be proud to be your daughter and to have had you as my father. You will remain forever in my heart. You lit up the world and the lives of many with your bright spirit. Your light in this world, like the Greek Olympic Torch, has now been passed on to us to continue to carry in your honor. Pop’s, you are dearly missed by many, but your spirit lives on through all of us. Because of you, we all shine a little brighter.

Let us all rise up and shine on ...

With much love and appreciation to all,

Kathy and Charlene Ioannou
